Summer Rowing Camps

Located on the shores of Lake Monona, Camp Randall Rowing Club is a great place to learn the exciting sport of rowing, make friends and have fun! We offer sessions for both high school and for middle school students throughout the summer. No experience necessary!! Let rowing be the highlight of your summer break!

High School LTR: 9am to 11:15am

This program is for athletes  currently attending high school or rising 9th graders(Just finished 8th grade). Athletes will focus on the basics of rowing, teamwork, and physical fitness. HS LTR is a great way to learn the basics of rowing and get your rowing skills ready for the Junior Rowing competitive team.

We offer two sessions of three weeks in length. Each camp has the option to attend a regatta. Cost is $300 for each camp. Regattas are an extra fee.

Below are the dates of each camp:

  • Session one: 6/17 – 6/21,  6/24 – 6/28, and 7/8 – 7/12. The week of July 4th is off.
  • Session two: 7/15 – 7/19, 7/22 – 7/26, and 7/29 – 8/2

Middle School LTR Schedule: 12pm to 2pm

This program is for athletes in grades 6 to 8 and rising 6th graders(Just finished 5th grade).  Athletes will learn the basics of rowing in a relaxed, supportive and fun environment. NO EXPERIENCE  is NECESSARY! Athletes will practice the essentials of sweep rowing (one oar per person) with land-based training on rowing machines (ergs) and in racing shells on Lake Monona.

We offer six one week camps. Cost is $125 for each week. There is no regatta offered for this program

  • Session one: 6/17 – 6/21
  • Session two:  6/24 – 6/28
  • Session three: 7/8 – 7/12
  • Session four: 7/15 – 7/19
  • Session five: 7/22 – 7/26
  • Session six: 7/29 – 8/2

Middle School Experienced: 2:30pm to 4:30pm

This program is for athletes in grades 6 to 8 and rising 6th graders(Just finished 5th grade) who have participated in our fall/spring program or have completed one LTR session.  Athletes will continue to learn the basics of rowing in a relaxed, supportive and fun environment and build on what they learned in previous sessions. Athletes will practice the essentials of sweep rowing (one oar per person) with land-based training on rowing machines (ergs) and in racing shells on Lake Monona.

This camp is rolling admission week by week for six weeks. Cost is $125 a week. We do not offer a regatta for this program.

Dates for each camp: Camps start 6/17 and go to 8/2 with no camp 4th of July week.
