Social Distance Rowing Camp (3 or 5 day options are available)
This program is for athletes currently in Middle School or High School. No experience is necessary. Athletes will focus on the basics of learning to scull, gaining confidence in our 1x rowing shells. With the help of pontoons, our athletes learn in a stable platform and work towards being able to take the pontoons of of their boats over time.
COVID-19 Precautions: All athletes must wear a mask when on land, our camps are in groups of 5 or smaller, and our campers are rowing in 1xs only to provide for social distancing.
Camps are running through the end of August! Time slots are available from 9am until 4pm. Our head coach Cory Conzemius and Recruiting Chair Sarah Pfau will help to schedule you in an appropriate slot.
Costs for a week-long 5-day camp is $200. Financial assistance is available!
Below are our typical offerings for the summer. However, due to the pandemic the above schedule is what we are operating on for summer 2020.
High School LTR: 9am to 11:15am
This program is for athletes currently attending high school or rising 9th graders (Just finished 8th grade). Athletes will focus on the basics of rowing, teamwork, and physical fitness. HS LTR is a great way to learn the basics of rowing and get your rowing skills ready for the Junior Rowing competitive team.
We offer two sessions of three weeks in length. Cost is $350 for each camp.
Below are the dates of each camp:
- Session one: 6/15 – 6/19, 6/22 – 6/26, and 6/29 – 7/3.
- Session two: 7/13 – 7/17, 7/20 – 7/24, and 7/27 – 7/31.
Middle School LTR Schedule: 12pm to 2pm
This program is for athletes in grades 6 to 8 and rising 6th graders (Just finished 5th grade). Athletes will learn the basics of rowing in a relaxed, supportive and fun environment. NO EXPERIENCE is NECESSARY! Athletes will practice the essentials of sweep rowing (one oar per person) with land-based training on rowing machines (ergs) and in racing shells on Lake Monona.
We offer six one week camps. Cost is $150 for each week.

- Session one: 6/15 – 6/19
- Session two: 6/22 – 6/26
- Session three: 6/29 – 7/3
- Session four: 7/13 – 7/17
- Session five: 7/19 – 7/24
- Session six: 7/27 – 7/31
Middle School Experienced: 2:30pm to 4:30pm
This program is for athletes in grades 6 to 8 and rising 6th graders (Just finished 5th grade) who have participated in our fall/spring program or have completed two one-week LTR sessions. Athletes will continue to learn the basics of rowing in a relaxed, supportive and fun environment and build on what they learned in previous sessions. Athletes will practice the essentials of sweep rowing (one oar per person) and sculling (two oars per person) with land-based training on rowing machines (ergs) and in racing shells on Lake Monona.
This camp is rolling admission week by week for six weeks. Cost is $150 a week.
