Thursday, May 3:
All rowers must sign transportation info sheet in boathouse and talk to a
coach directly by the end of practice time. You must indicate who you are
riding with and which parent will be responsible for group. Athletes may NOT
drive themselves to or from the regatta. Coaches will provide a copy of the
list to Carole Bain.
_Friday, May 4: 4:15 PM: _Practice at Brittingham Boathouse and load
trailer.
What to pack: Uniform (all competitors must wear their club colors on the
water), warm-up clothes, hat, sunscreen, water bottle, rowing sandals or
running shoes, clothes for cooler weather, rain-gear, homework, money for
race t-shirt.
_FOR NEW ROWERS (since spring break)_: Before traveling with the Club, all
CRRC athletes MUST complete online registration, sign the electronic US
Rowing waiver, pay fees & sign Code of Conduct.
All rowers and parents: please review the CRRC Code of Conduct and help
everyone follow it.
_Saturday, May 5:_
_4:30 AM: Drivers depart BH with trailer _(carry emergency health forms, US
Rowing waiver list, first aid kits)
_5:30 AM: Rowers depart Madison for Crystal Lake, IL, _about a 100-mile
drive. All rowers must be driven by a non-rower adult.
_7:45 AM ETA_: Arrive Crystal Lake
Rowers – Report to CRRC trailer to help unload and rig boats.
Coaches’ and Coxswains’ Meeting – A meeting of coaches and coxswains, with
roll call, is scheduled for 8:00am on race day at the Main Beach building.
Parents – Come to the CRRC tent for coffee and help with set-up.
_4:00 PM ETA Racing ends._ All athletes are REQUIRED to remain at the course
until the last race has finished, helping load the trailer and cheer on
their teammates.
_CRRC Notes: _The nearest street address is 300 Lake Shore Drive, Crystal
Lake, IL 60014. Regatta site is a shaded waterfront park in a residential
area. Our families prepare hot breakfast and lunch for rowers. Limited snack
food is available for spectators onsite; restaurants about 15 minutes away
so recommend a picnic. No dogs allowed in park. Binoculars are helpful. All
rower costs included in regular season fee (except items purchased

Madison Marathon Sign-up
_Super-fun fundraising opportunity!!!_
We will once again be “manning” a water station for the 2012 Madison
Marathon. Our location has changed this year to the terrace side of the
Machinery Row Parking Lot!!! We need 30 kids in order to raise $650 for the
club. This is easy money and the kids had a blast last year! Great team
building activity that will count towards volunteer hours. Also looking for
a few parent volunteers as well.
This is a truly inspiring event, so sign up to help, get a free t-shirt
(need to register online), log some volunteer hours, make some money for the
club and hang out with friends!!!
