CRRC was established in 1995 by a group of Olympic and elite University of Wisconsin rowers. In 2001 the Club was incorporated as a Wisconsin nonstock corporation and CRRC commenced a capital campaign to renovate the Brittingham Boathouse. The Club rows out of the restored Brittingham Boat House on Monona Bay in Madison, Wisconsin.
